We have a two opportunities in our Monitoring team (permanent and fixed term, ending 30 June 2022), where you will be responsible for the monitoring of resource consent conditions in order to ensure compliance with the Resource Management Act 1991 (RMA). The work is diverse and busy and will consist of time in the field conducting site visits and time in the office compiling data and updating reports. You will learn how the RMA is applied to the Far North District Plan and how resource consents interact with compliance.

We are looking for someone with great communication skills and the ability to understand how the District Plan is applied practically. You will need to have great organisational skills and be able to be thorough in your record keeping. In addition, you must be able to demonstrate your negotiation, investigative and interpersonal skills and have the following attributes:
- Familiarity with the Resource Management Act and an understanding of District Plans
- Commitment to customer service excellence
- Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads
- Proficiency in all Microsoft applications
- A current and valid driver licence is essential for this role
