We have an exciting opportunity for a suitably experienced and skilled person to join a group of passionate and dedicated co-workers within our District Facilities team.
Mō koe – About You
You must have a sound working knowledge of contract administration and supervision, financial and budget processes, report and business writing as well as a good understanding of parks, reserves, tree management and familiarity of the Far North area esp. the Bay of Islands – Whangaroa ward. Your excellent communication skills will make dealing with contractors’ and the public a walk in the park.
The competencies and attributes that we are looking for are:
- Previous working experience concerning contract administration / supervision of parks, reserves, cemeteries, public toilets and town maintenance essential
- Commitment to excellent customer satisfaction
- High standards of interpersonal skills both internally and externally
- Excellent at relationship building and communication skills important
- Budgetary or financial management skills essential
- Ability to act without supervision
Knowledge of how Council operates will be an advantage.
